Kirstjen Nielsen's Revisionist History is Too Late for Separated Families
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Moments ago during an appearance on Anthony Scaramucci’s SALT talk, Kirstjen Nielsen attempted to revise history and her public image after her involvement in executing and misleading the public in defense of the Trump administration’s family separation policy. Accountable.US released the following statement:
“Kirstjen Nielsen should be ashamed of her role in the Trump administration’s horrific policy of separating migrant children from their families,” said Lizzy Price, spokesperson for Accountable.US. “On Nielsen’s watch, children taken from their families were abused and sexually assaulted. Some even died. Her desperate attempts to rehabilitate her public image are too late for those families. The media should not indulge her.”
Nielsen’s comments come just days before a court ruling that may approve the separation of even more migrant families amid a global pandemic.
