Patients Over Pharma Statement on Trump’s Scheduled Drug Pricing Press Conference

Washington, DC – Today, Patients Over Pharma released the following statement following reports that President Trump will be holding a press conference tomorrow afternoon to sign executive orders related to drug pricing.

“President Trump bragged about being able to remember a short list of small words, but people across the country have a longer memory than that and haven’t forgotten how many prescription drug price promises he’s made and broken over the years,” said Eli Zupnick, spokesman for Patients Over Pharma. “Another White House press conference and another round of executive orders aren’t going to be nearly enough for the patients who have seen drug prices continue to rise, watched President Trump fill his Administration with drug company lobbyists and executives, and are desperate for meaningful drug pricing legislation that puts patients and families ahead of drug companies and profits.”
