Following its announcement last week that Dr. Anthony Fauci would not be allowed to testify before Congress about COVID-19, the Trump administration released new guidance today blocking any White House coronavirus task force members from speaking on the record before Congress this month.

“The Trump administration has long tried to block transparency to hide its failures in responding to COVID-19 from the public, but prohibiting public health experts like Dr. Fauci from testifying before Congress is a new height of obfuscation. President Trump should remove this gag order immediately and allow Congress to do its job.”
