Washington, D.C. — Accountable.US president Kyle Herrig released the following statement after Senate Republicans unanimously voted against a key procedural measure on the bipartisan infrastructure framework bill:  

“By refusing to allow a debate on a bipartisan way forward on our nation’s crumbling infrastructure, it seems Senate Republicans are more interested in running out the clock for those trying to get the peoples’ work done. This is in sharp contrast to Senate Republicans’ willingness to give huge tax cuts to big corporations and the wealthy during the Trump administration. If this vote is a sign of things to come, Congress should be prepared to take whatever steps necessary to make sure we reinvest in an economy that works for everyone.”
