Derek Martin is director of Allied Progress at Accountable.US where he oversees communications and investigative research efforts.
During his tenure at Allied Progress as director and previously as research director, Derek has been involved in initiatives to defend the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), protect payday loan borrowers, and end discriminatory lending practices. Previously, he spent several years consulting on electoral campaigns around the country at the local, state, and federal level. Derek also worked at the U.S. Department of Defense, supporting its counterintelligence mission within the IT supply chain and helping to devise risk mitigation strategies for the federal government.
A native of the Kansas City area, Derek earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas, graduating from the Honors Program.
